    Job Description

     This position is primarily responsible for production scheduling, inventory control and distribution.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Safety role – Provide daily and extended planning and participation to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Quality role – Assure quality compliance
    • Leadership role – Provide functional leadership for material management and distribution teams. Develop strategic plans and implement lean initiatives to maximize effectiveness. Provide leadership outside of areas of responsibility as required by other managers
    • Customer Service role –Ensure the needs of external and internal customers are satisfied.
    • Change Champion role – Champions the culture through Vision, Values, and Principals. Effectively facilitates change for their team and location
    • Manage scheduling, procurement, cycle counting, and distribution departments to achieve performance objectives and corporate audits.
    • Updates, monitors and coordinates information with Corporate Accounting utilized in product costing.
    • Zone management to meet on time complete adherence and product availability objectives Reviews demand trends and adjusts zones accordingly. o Analysis and strategic plan development o Associate development and training o Performance planning and evaluation
    • Provide directional and developmental leadership to material management and distribution teams.
    • Manage and develop goals and targets to meet company objectives and customer service objectives.
    • Communicates effectively with customer service for delivery information.
    • Addresses customer issues as they arise with the appropriate function within facility and at Corporate.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize lean programs and processes.
    • Assure audit compliance of programs involving inventory management.
    • Provides guidance for inventory levels of all products both purchased and manufactured.
    • Provides resources to manage WMS and MRP systems for component parts inventories.
    • Provide line of communication to corporate headquarters.
    • Provide analysis, options, and recommendations to plant leadership regarding inventory levels, procurement, distribution strategies and production operations.
    • Tracks and monitors key performance measures for the Distribution Center.
    • Develop procedures and processes to maximize team performance.
    • Manage master data integrity and communicate delivery dates through SAP.
    • Supports, Implements, and Participates in Safety Programs.
    • Other duties as assigned.
