    Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of general equipment, building boiler system maintenance and general building maintenance experience required. Candidates must have the ability to perform equipment maintenance and repair activities as directed.

     


    Job Description

    The position is responsible for general maintenance in the WHQ and East side buildings. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform all work according to proper OSHA, EPA and NEC safety standards.
    • General repair and maintenance of mechanical and building equipment.
    • Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated heights.
    • Capable of lifting 75lbs.
    • General building maintenance, including landscaping grounds and snow removal, as required.
    • Performs and promotes good housekeeping and reports all unsafe conditions and acts to their supervisor.
    • Plan and order supplies/equipment involving industrial installation and repair as requested.
    • Trained in the use of welding, soldering and cutting equipment. Demonstrates technical skill base and safe operation.
    • Willing to learn new skill in basic electrical and hydraulic fields.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma required. Some college or technical and/or trade school preferred.

    SKILLS REQUIRED: Must exhibit professional craftsmanship in all areas of assigned responsibilities. Must gave the ability to learn and understand basic electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic concepts. Computer skills using Microsoft Office desired. Successful candidates will have strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
