    Job Description
    This position is responsible for leading all distribution activities at the Lebanon Distribution Center. The position coordinates and supervises all processes and activities related to receiving, stocking, replenishment, order processing, repackaging, return processing, and shipping/transportation.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Safe operations overseeing receiving, storing, repackaging, and shipment of products by directing the day to day utilization of space, equipment and personnel to support: customer service, on time complete, and order fill requirements; inbound cycle time goals; inventory accuracy; efficient operations to productivity measures; safety awareness; quality assurance; facility housekeeping & 6S; and all physical and operational aspects of the facility.
    • Provide accurate reporting of products received, stored, repackaged, and shipped.
    • Train associates to properly, safely, and efficiently perform their job.
    • Selection and scheduling of personnel, equipment, and services to meet operating requirements.
    • Ensure product is shipped & handled with highest quality standards.
    • Enforce good safety practices by conducting meetings, promoting accident prevention and enforcing safety policies.
    • Ensure compliance with established operating policies, procedures and schedules.
    • Supervise distribution associates including training to safely perform their jobs, developing a team environment and fostering effective communications within the facility.
    • Review performance and make recommendations regarding employment, performance ratings, disciplinary actions, compensation changes, promotions, transfers and terminations.
    • Resolve problems in relationships among personnel and associate complaints. Develop a team environment.
    • Create, maintain and monitor DC budget and costs.
    • Analyze operating capabilities in relation to receiving, storage and shipping, recommend and implement changes for improvement as necessary.
    • Coordinate all administrative functions that include product verification for receiving, shipping, returns.
    • Coordinate transportation carriers for outbound shipments, completing required paperwork.
    • Act as the primary contact person for NIBCO customer service excellence process.
    • Ensure inventory is properly controlled, stored, placed and picked.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 3-5 years distribution experience in a management or supervision role required.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor Degree in Operations Management, Business or Supply Chain Management is preferred.

    SKILLS REQUIRED:

    Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel software applications as well as SAP WMS systems. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
